This beautiful gilded ring takes us back to the early medieval period in northern Europe.

It tells the story of a noble or trader who wanted to wear a marker of identity or prestige on their hand. The invention of gilding allowed more people to wear gold jewellery and the Gryphon allowed it to be more unique to the individual user.
